A String of Beautiful Days Calendar
A String of Beautiful Days Calendar expresses the uniquely Japanese sensibility of “flowers are beautiful because the petals scatter” and gradually erases the numbers as the thread is pulled out. The numbers are sewn using a single thread, and by pulling a number at the end of each day, they gradually unravel and disappear—allowing you to collect your thoughts about each day when time passes so fleetingly.
"Kokuyo Design Award" started from 2002 and aims to make commercial products from the entries. From the award-winning artworks in the past, a total of 18 entries have gone from the contest to the market.
