It can be used to sharpen any round, hexagonal or triangular pencils and pastels, with a maximum diameter ranging from 4-10mm. The butterfly clamps hold the pencil firmly in position for sharpening. Pinch them together, insert the pencil, release and away you go. A feature of this machine that truly makes it more than just your ordinary pencil sharpener, is that you can adjust the length of the point. You can do so by adjusting the button in the centre of the crank. And of course a convenient metal drawer holds all the shavings to keep things tidy.
